Farm tales...

Heifer values grows 24%

We had fantastic results across our entire herd at the Southern Regional Livestock Exchange (SRLX) market on 9 July 2025. Our heifer values rose 24% compared to this time last year, and our young steers were only 8c off the market high, competing against 68 lots in the same weight category. We achieved above average market prices for all our stock.

Little Moo joins Better Choices

We were recently accepted as a Better Choices member. Better Choices is a dedicated growing global livestock community of primary producers, farmers and industry members, dedicated to improving livestock welfare outcomes through the singular focus of pain mitigation, helping to continue to a more sustainable future for our industry.

Better Choices exists to establish a higher standard for pain mitigation planning and a more responsible approach to antisepsis in livestock for essential husbandry procedures. These goals align perfectly with our existing philosophies and treatment activities.

Top price for our steers

We achieved a sale high price at the Southern Regional Livestock Exchange (SRLX) market on 17 July 2024, competing against 14 other lots in the same weight category. In addition, all our other steers and young heifers achieved above average market prices.

This fantastic performance demonstrates that our commitment to sustainable, stress free cattle management is not only good for the herd but also good for business.
